The emotional work of grieving is exhausting. It can be hard to devote the proper time that your grief deserves and demands. And sometimes it can be hard to find the privacy you need to give voice to your grief, to lament, free from concerns about upsetting or disturbing other people.
Calvin’s Cabin has been designed as a haven of beauty and tranquillity to allow you to tend to your grief and to your own wellbeing and healing, in complete privacy.
It’s a beautiful comfortable and welcoming space with soft, gentle colours and comforting textures where you can spend a few days away from your normal routines and the demands made on you by other people, where you can allow yourself to give in to the tiredness, slow down to a stop and be cared for.
No pressure to keep the show on the road, to put on a brave space or look after others.
Just look after yourself for a little while. Be nurtured by the peaceful face, the beautiful garden and the scenery beyond.
Embrace the stillness. Give space to your grief.
Expect the tears to flow and the memories to flood in.
Tending to your grief can be painful but ultimately healing, one tiny step at a time.
Retreating for a few days can be the best gift you can give to yourself or others.
